Our newsletter is entirely free. We stay in business through various ways, like our partner program with authors, our affiliate program with retailers, and our merchandise shop, where you can support us by purchasing our Dango Book Swags.
Unfortunately, our email service provider currently does not support segmenting our readers by time zone. We are looking into other potential solutions, and we will make changes as soon as we find one that works.
At the bottom of each Dango Books newsletter, you will find your unique referral link and referral hub. The link is what you send to book-lovers you know and convince them to sign up for Dango Books, and your referral hub is where you can track your progress and rewards.
After someone signs up using your link, they need to verify their email address (this ensures the email is legit). Your referral count should be updated within a few hours after they have verified their email. So if your referral count isn’t updated, you might need to bug your friends to verify their email in their inbox.
Each week we select a book to giveaway to one of our subscribers at full price. You can click on the banner at the top and bottom of any Dango Books newsletter to join. We pick a winner each week on Monday. The winner will be contacted via email. If a winner fails to respond to our email within 72 hours, we will choose a new winner.
There are a few reasons why this might be happening and some ways to fix this:
Check your spam/junk folders.
Email filters can be tricky. Dango Books’Books’ email may end up in spam/junk folders. If you find the newsletter, you should be able to right-click and “mark as not spam” or drag and drop the mail back into the primary inbox. After a few days of opening it, your inbox should recognize it as not spam.
Are you using a corporate or school email?
The newsletter can sometimes bounce (get rejected) because of spam filters. We recommend requesting your IT department to whitelist @dangobooks.com. Otherwise, you can switch your subscription to your personal email address.
You may have accidentally unsubscribed! Scroll to the bottom of your last newsletter and click the link on the “Update your email preferences” button to check.
If all else fails, use the sign-up page and try rejoining the list.
It’s possible you have subscribed using two different email addresses that are attached to the same inbox. If this is the case, you can unsubscribe from one of the addresses by clicking the “Update Preferences” button at the top or bottom of any Dango Books newsletter.
